All volunteers should be familiar with the handbook, which covers everything from Trap Checkers Guide to Health and Safety to Requires Skills and Knowledge. It also includes contact details for the Friends of the Blade Oranising Group.
Volunteers tending their lines outside our formal Friday musters should leave a completed copy of the Buddy Form with a friend or relative. So please download and print out a copy now, so you have it handy.
If you notice anything that may be a risk to you or others, or if you have an accident or near-miss, please download and complete an Incident Report Form and forward it to the Health & Safety Officer.
The lines roster used to check trappers in and out on our trapping days.
The above link to pdf is for those downloading and using Field Maps for the First time. A few notes:
• Our area is one with poor reception, so follow those instructions.
• If a pop-up appears that reads ‘Your email has not been verified’, please hit ‘skip for now’.
• Nearly all our volunteers have Read Only access, so the information in the guide about syncing your data, adding trap records etc. won’t apply.
• Every volunteer should have the Field Maps App on their phone, and know how to use it. This is a health and safety necessity to help you navigate your way around the trapping area.
• Email us if you have any problems or questions about the app.
This information is for our most recent March 2025 update only. If you first downloaded the app after March 2025, you can ignore this.
